DANIELSSON JOHAN

 

Mollyhawk, Danielsson Johan was born in Sund, Åland, on 3 October 1912 and died there on 10 April 1989.

Rolf Danielsson made his first voyage in 1928, in the s s HÖGLAND.

He obtained his Master Mariner's certificate in Mariehamnin 1938.

Rolf Danielsson rounded Cape Horn twice, eastwards, in the 4-masted barque LAWHILL in 1932 and 1933.

He served as Chief Maate of the s s VARMA, s s KIRSTA and s s OLIVIA.

From 1947 he served as Master of the OLIVIA and KIRSTA.

He also worked as interior decorator at the Gustaf Erikson Company's shipyard, Nystads Varv.

Rolf Danielsson was in charge on board the museum-ship POMMERN, when she was towed to Äbo/ Turku in 1969 for repairs.
