ERIKSSON
MAGNUS
Magnus Eriksson was born in Kökar, Åland
Islands, on 1 April 1910 and died in 1974.
He obtained his Master Mariner's
certificate in Mariehamn in 1941.
Magnus Eriksson rounded Cape Horn four
times, eastwards, during the following voyages :
1934-35 as carpenter in the 4-masted
barque L'AVENIR, Mariehamn, Copenhagen, Port Victoria, Falmouth, Glasgow,
Mariehamn, Master Nils Eriksson. 1935-1936 as 3rd Mate in the L'AVENIR,
Mariehamn -Copenhagen -Port Lincoln Falmouth -London-Mariehamn, Master Nils
Eriksson.
1937-38 as 2nd Mate in the 4-Masted
barque PASSAT, Trângsund -Copebhagen-East London-Port Victoria -Falmouth
-Hull-Mariehamn, Master Nils Erksson.
1938-39 as Chief Mate in the PASSAT,
Mariehamn -Copenhagen-Port Lincoln -Falmouth -Belfast-Mariehamn, Masster Linus
Lindvall.
Magnus Eriksson subsequently served as
Pilot at the Kökar Pilot Station.
