GUSTAFSSON GÖSTA

 

Gustafsson Gösta Albin, Mollyhawk, was born in Jomala, Åland,on 18 June 1911 and died on 11 September 1968.

He obtained his Master Mariner's certificate in Mariehamn in 1939.

Gösta Gustafsson rounded Cape Horn twice, eastwards, in the 4- masted barque PAMIR : in 1932 as Able Seaman and in 1933 as Sail-seamer.

He served as Chief Mate of the s s ERGO, HELNY, DAGNY,KASTELHOLM, ASSISTANS, SAVONIA and MARITA THORDEN

and as Master of the SAVONIA, KARIN THORDEN, HULDA THORDEN, MARIEFORS and m v SOLNY.
