JAKOBSSON
KARL-GUSTAV.
Jakobsson Karl-Gustav, Mollyhawk, was
born in Vasa, Finland, on 5 March 1921.
He rounded Cape Horn eastward in the 4-
masted barque VIKING, in 1939, Master Captain Uno Mörn.
He served in the VIKING from September
1938 until August 1939, voyage Nystad (Uusukaupunki ) -Port Lincoln
-Cardiff-Mariehamn.
He obtained his Master Mariner's
certificate in Äbo / Turku, in 1951.
Kark-Gustav Jakobsson served as Master of
the m v KORSHAMN, Chief Mate and Master of the m v BORNHOLM, and Master of the
s s KORSHOLM II and s s KORSHOLM, s s JOHAN and m v JOHANNA.
He also worked as forwarding manager of
the Oy Wilh. Schauman Ab company.
In 1969, he was Master of the m v NORDEK.
Karl-Gustav Jakobsson was awarded the
Medal of Freedom I AND II and the Cross of Freedom IV.
