NORDLUND TOIVO

 

Nordlund Toivo, Johannes, Mollyhawk., was born in Sund, Åland, on 23.7.1908 and died in 1975.

He obtained his Master Mariner's certificate in Mariehamn in 1941.

He served as Chief Mate of the 4- masted barque LAWHILL from 1935 to 1937 and was also Master of the m v SUOMI and m v DISA.

Toivo Nordlund rounded Cape Horn five times, eastwards :

- in the 4- masted barque OLIVEBANK in 1932 and 1934.

- in the 4- masted barque VIKING in 1937, and

- in the LAWHILL in 1938 and 1939.
