VAITTINEN OLAVI

 

Vaittinen Olavi, Ilmari, Mollyhawk, was born in Viborg, Finland, on 13.7.1910 and died in 1969.

He served in the 4- masted barque LAWHILL from 1935 to 1937 and rounded Cape Horn twice in that vessel, in 1936 and 1937.

He obtained his Master Mariner's certificate in Kotka in 1947.

Olavi Vaittinen served for any years in ships belonging to the Ab R. Nordström & Co Ltd and was Master of the s s INGEROIS and MARGARETA.
